Radiography

X-ray technology (radiography) uses electromagnetic radiation waves to form images of the internal make-up of a subject. Since animals are not able to communicate what pain they may be experiencing, an x-ray is often able to pinpoint the issue for our experienced doctors.

X-rays can be used to diagnose fractures and strains on the skeletal system, organ size and growth, heart size and even internal bleeding.

If an x-ray is needed, your pet will be subdued through the skilled hands of our staff without subjecting the animal to pain. Once the x-ray is taken (this usually takes just a few minutes) the films are processed and then displayed on a viewer box for evaluation by our doctors. Drs. Angela and John Bentley have many years of examining x-ray images and can pinpoint even the smallest of fractures.
